- Genelink stud consists of  an elite group of recorded fullblood registered ewes  mated to individual sires to provide registered stud rams for sale on farm, or Society sponsored Breed Sales, and the provision of superior clean shedding sires  prime lamb production.

Some ewes and ewe lambs are sold from time to time.

The main focus of the stud is to provide clean shedding, early maturing prime lamb sires to the lower rainfall grazing country with selection criteria based on production characteristics suited to that environment.

All Registered and commercial rams have a stringent classing regime and off types are sold to the meat trade.

Clean shedding is a priority, as is early maturity and good post weaning growth. Feet, body structure and mouths must be sound.

As commercial producers also producing for the meat trade it is essential to ensure that our stud breeding stock produce types that meet the Australian prime lamb specification for domestic and export markets.  All our prime lamb production is sold over hooks with valuable feedback data that is taken into consideration when making stud breeding decisions. We target robust types that are able to adapt and produce in all climatic regions.
